  • Rachel Rossetti Hickox

    Rachel Rossetti Hickox spent 7 years working in elementary education while continuing to grow her theater career. She founded the Brooke East Boston drama club and produced and their inaugural production of The Wiz followed by Suessical Jr. She then worked at Crossroads Academy in Lyme NH as a teacher while costuming their two shows, Aladdin and Into the Woods Jr. During the 2022-23 school year Rachel taught 3rd-5th grade performing arts in Boston, teaching music dance and theater to over 300 students. Rachel recently moved to White River Junction Vermont to pursue her theater career and is the company manager of Northern Stage, a LORT-D professional theater!

  • Patrick McCrossan

    Patrick McCrossan is a theatre educator and practitioner who got his start when RIYT was Fantasy Works and he performed as The Lonely Goatherd in The Sound of Music in the summer of 1991. From there, Patrick spent 20 summers performing, directing, music directing and choreographing for FW/RIYT, and he spent time working with Ann as Director of Education for RIYT’s after school programs. All in, Patrick is proud of the over 50 productions that he was a part of with RIYT. Patrick credits his passion and love for theatre, as well as his career as a theatre teacher to Ann O’Grady and all of the amazing mentors and students he was able to work with over the years with RIYT. After receiving his Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Theatre from the Rome School of Music at Catholic University (DC) and his Masters in Theatre Education and Massachusetts State Teacher’s Certification from Emerson College (MA), Patrick began work as a theatre teacher at Qualters Middle School in Mansfield, MA, where he has worked for the past 14 years. At Qualters, his work has brought him opportunities to teach, direct and choreograph what he loves, to create classes and workshops for young artists, professional development opportunities for educators, and student intern/mentor based programs to support emerging artists. He has created standards based curriculum in the areas of Theatre and the Performing Arts, as well as cross-curricular modules in English Language Arts and History. His students’ work as performers and technicians has been recognized as some of the best in Massachusetts by the Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild, as well at the MET & Broadway in Boston Awards. Two of Patrick’s QMS Drama productions have been recognized by the New England Theatre Conference for their achievements in children’s theatre. Patrick is also the high school company director and choreographer at Triboro Youth Theatre (Attleboro, MA), where he takes great joy and pride in modeling his rehearsals and productions after the practices that he learned while working with so many positive and influential mentors at FW/ RIYT. His favorite FW/RIYT memory would be performing as Jack in Into The Woods, (2000) and the incomparable Stephen Sondheim’s lyrics from that show, which have guided him through his career: “Careful the things you say, children will listen.”

  • Julia Paolino

    Julia Paolino is a New England-based teaching artist and director, currently serving as the Director of Arts and Drama Program Coordinator at Bishop Hendricken High School in Warwick. In this role, Julia develops and oversees programming to promote the advancement of the arts across all disciplines. Additionally, she directs and produces all theatrical productions. In her first year as director, Hendricken was selected as Rhode Island’s representative to the New England Drama Festival and won several Ocean State Star Awards for Once Upon a Mattress. One of Julia’s students was then selected to compete in the prestigious Jimmy Awards in New York City. Prior to Hendricken, Julia served as the Performing Arts Director of the Hockomock Area YMCA, where she produced and directed upwards of 10 productions each year. As part of her role, she also taught skills-based classes and camp programming for youth ages 3-22. Julia has also directed and taught with Hartford Stage Company, Wheelock Family Theatre at Boston University, The Gamm Theatre, and, of course, her first home- Rhode Island Youth Theatre!

  • Caroline Tate

    Caroline Tate is a certified K-6 and TESOL (PK-12) educator with an M.Ed in TESOL, an MAT in Elementary Education, and a BA in Communication Studies with a minor in Theatre. She has taught multilingual learners in public schools and performed professionally in NYC-including the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade-and regionally with Trinity Rep, OSTC, and Theatre Workshop of Nantucket. While living in NYC, she led early childhood music classes in the Bronx and performed at children’s events across the NYC metro with Dance.Laugh.Learn. A RIYT alum since age 10, Caroline performed every summer and began working as a team member at 17. Her favorite roles include Fantine (Les Misérables: School Edition) and Liesl (The Sound of Music). After returning to Rhode Island in her mid-twenties, she was invited by Ann O’Grady to direct and choreograph Les Misérables: School Edition and The Spirit of Rocky Point, written by RIYT student Mitchell Cardone, with support from her sister, Liz Bateson. Caroline later served as RIYT’s Director of Education, mentoring high school students, directing large-scale productions, and serving as a SkillsRI mentor to rising seniors. She has also tutored middle and high school students in executive functioning and organizational skills, volunteered as a coach with Girls on the Run RI, and freelanced with Cake Mix Studios (Hasbro). She now brings her passion for the arts, creative movement, and personal growth into the classroom to help children love learning and express themselves with joy.

  • Annie Weeks

    Annie Weeks started with Fantasy Works in the late 90s. As she grew so did her passion for theatre and performing and Fantasy Works helped fuel that fire. Her favorite roles with the company are Belle in Beauty and the Beast and Eponine in Les Mis. She is grateful for the opportunities, the support from the staff, and the countless memories that are unforgettable.

    She graduated with her BFA in musical theatre and her equity card from Syracuse University. She is currently the Director of Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Worcester and aspires to open up her own studio in the near future.
